Ddysgawdwr dynol-ryw

Ddysgawdwr dynol-ryw,
Diddanydd eglwys Duw,
  O rho i ni
Gael yn d'oleuni fyw:
Eglura'r Mab yn fwyfwy llawn,
Rho'i feddwl ef i ni, a'i ddawn;
  O dangos inni'r Iesu,
A'r ffordd i'w garu'n iawn.

Dwg ni i Fethl'em dref,
I weld ei dlodi ef -
  Dywysog hedd,
Etifedd nef y nef!
Eglura i ni haeddiannau'r Iawn
Wnaed ar Galfaria un prynhawn;
  O dangos rym y cariad
Wnaeth yno'r pryniad llawn!

Rhyw oleu gloywach sydd
I ddod i blant y ffydd
  Ar Iesu a'i glwy -
Fe ddaw yn fwy o ddydd.
O Ysbryd Sanctaidd, Athro mawr,
Ein golwg cadw tua'r wawr,
  Nes tyr y bore nefol, -
O rasol ddedwydd awr!

Teacher of human-kind,
Comforter of the church of God,
  O grant to us
To get in thy light to live:
Display the Son more and more fully,
Give his thought to us, and his gift;
  O show to us Jesus,
And the way to love him fully.

Lead us to Bethlehem town,
To see his poverty -
  Prince of peace,
Heir of the heaven of heaven!
Display to us the merits of the Atonement
Made on Calvary one afternoon;
  O show the force of the love
That made there the full payment!

Some brighter light that is
To come to the children of faith
  Upon Jesus and his wound -
That is to come more from day.
O Sacred Spirit, great Teacher,
Our gaze keep towards the dawn,
  Until the heavenly morning breaks, -
O gracious happy hour!
