Gogoniant byth i'r Oen,
Am ddyoddef dros ein bai;
Ei angeu mawr a'i boen,
Wna imi lawenhau;
Mae ing yr Oen
a'i farwol gri,
Yn fywyd ac yn wledd i ni.
Cael golwg ar y groes,
A thegwch Iesu cu,
Rydd gysur dan bob loes,
Rydd wawr ar gwmwl du;
Ni all holl ddoniau'r llef i gyd,
Byth draethu gwerth
ei aberth drud.
Robert Jones 1806-96
Tonau [666688]: |
Glory forever to the Lamb,
For suffering for our sin;
His great death and his pain,
Makes us rejoice;
The anguish of the Lamb
and his deathly cry, is
Life and a feast to us.
To get a look upon the cross,
And the fairness of dear Jesus,
Gives comfort under every pang,
Gives dawn upon a black cloud;
Not all the gifts of the cry altogether can
Ever expound the worth of
his precious sacrifice.
