O'r hapus awr dewisais di
I mi'n Waredwr ac yn Dduw!
Mewn nefol hwyl myn f'ysbryd i
Dy ganmol bellach
tra bwy' byw.
Hapus awr, hapus awr,
Maddeuodd Iesu 'meiau mawr,
Mewn gweddi a mawl
a gwylio mwy,
Mi af yn mlaen
yn nerth ei glwy'.
O ddedwydd rwymyn! seliwyd fi
I'r hwn sy'n haeddu'm serch
a'm can;
Anthemau peraidd lanwo'i dy
Pan ddof gerbron ei allor lan.
Fe'i gwnaed, fe'i gwnaed -
yr amod wnaed,
Ei eiddo wyf, a'm Harglwydd yw;
Fe'm denodd trwy ei gariad rhad,
Ac iddo'n llwyr
yr wyf am fyw.
Rhanedig fuost, galon wan;
Ar Grist a'i augeu pwysa mwy;
O'i gyfoeth daw
pob peth i'th ran,
Ei nefoedd lawn, heb boen na chlwy'.
Fe clybu'r Ne'r adduned fawr,
A'i chlywed eto gaiff bob dydd;
A chan fendigo'r ddedwydd awr,
At Iesu'r hedaf - af yn rhydd.

O the happy hour I chose thee
For me as a Deliverer and as God!
In heavenly joy my spirit
Will praise thee henceforth
while ever I am living.
Happy hour, happy hour,
Jesus forgave my great sins,
In prayer and praise
and watching evermore,
I will go forward
in the strength of his wound.
O happy bond! I was sealed
To him who deserves my affection
and my song;
Sweet anthems shall fill his house
When I come before his holy altar.
He has done it, he has done it -
the condition was satisfied,
His own I am, and my Lord he is;
He attracted me through his free love,
And to him completely
I am wanting to live.
Divided thou wast, weak heart;
On Christ and his death lean henceforth;
From his wealth shall come
everything to thy part,
His full heaven, without pain or wound.
Heaven heard the great vow,
And may it be heard again every day;
And while blessing the happy awr,
To Jesus I will fly - I will go free.

O happy day, that stays my choice
On Thee, my Saviour and my God!
Well may this glowing heart rejoice,
And tell its raptures
all abroad.
Happy day, happy day,
When Jesus washed my sins away:
He taught me how
to watch and pray
And live rejoicing
every day.
O happy bond that seals my vows
To Him who merits
all my love!
Let cheerful anthems till his house,
While to that sacred shrine I move.
'Tis done; the great
transaction's done
I am my Lord's, and He is mine;
He drew me, and I followed on,
Glad to obey
the voice divine.
Now rest, my long-divided heart,
Fixed on this blissful centre, rest:
With ashes who would
grudge to part,
When called on angels' bread to feast?
High Heaven, that heard the solemn vow,
That vow renewed shall daily hear,
Till in life's latest hour I bow
And bless in death a bond so dear.
