Tu-hwnt i'n golwg ni,
Uwch ben y wybren glir,
Preswylia'r gogoneddus Dduw,
Yn y goleuni pur.
O gylch ei orsedd lān
Mae engyl pur y nef,
Yn moli Duw a'u mawl yn dān
Yn ei wasanaeth Ef.
Cawn ninau'i foli Ef,
Ac aros yn ei waith;
O uchder nef
gostynga'i glust
I wrando ar ein hiaith:
Ac er preswylio fry,
Yn mawl angelion fyrdd,
Mae Ef yn derbyn moliant plant,
A'u harwain yn Ei ffyrdd.
Yn wylaidd ceisiwn wneud
Ewyllys sanctaidd Duw,
A phyncied ein calonau gān
I'w enw tra fo'm byw:
A phan ddaw'r farwol nos,
Fe'n dwg
o boenau'r llawr,
I ganu'i glod mewn gynau glān
Yn haeddiant Iesu mawr.

Tōn [MBD 6686D]: |
Beyond our sight,
Above the clear sky,
Resides the glorious God,
In the pure light.
Around his holy throne
Are the pure angels of heaven,
Praising God with their praise a fire
Serving Him.
We too may praise Him,
And abide in his work;
From the height of heaven
he lowers his ear
To listen to our language:
And although residing above,
In the praise of a myriad angels,
He is receiving the praise of children,
And leads them in His ways.
Reverently let us seek to do
The holy will of God,
And let our hearts chant a song
To his name while ever we live:
And when the night of death comes,
He will lead us
from the pains of the earth,
To sing his acclaim in clean robes
In the merit of great Jesus.

Above yon clear blue sky,
Beyond our feeble sight,
The God of glory dwells on high
In everlasting light.
Around His glorious throne
The holy angels stand;
In songs of praise their king they own,
Or fly at His command.
And we may praise Him, too,
And serve Him here below;
He stoops to mark
what children do,
Their inmost thoughts to know;
And though He reigns above,
Where angels ceaseless praise,
He will accept our humble love,
And lead us in His ways.
O may we humbly seek
To do His holy will,
And try, with thankful hearts and meek,
To sing His praises still;
And then for Jesus' sake,
Who came for us
to die,
Our happy spirits He will take
To praise Him in the sky.
